Luminecence Rebound
A downloadable game for Windows
The game
Luminescence Rebound is a turn-based tactical PvE game. The goal of the game is, in an arena of 11x14 square tiles, to destroy the 3 opposing units using three units made available to you at the beginning of the game (so a 3Vs3).
- Three variations of terrain.
- Three Archetypes of playable unit.
- Each has their own ability that can modify the board.
Main feature
The particularity of this battlefield comes from the mirrors that compose it. Players must use these to ricochet their shot. The more a shot ricochets, the more damage it deals at the end of its trajectory and generates “mana points”.
What's the use of the mana?
As mentioned above, each player has 3 different units. Each of them has an ability that can act on the mirrors and thus modulate the board. These abilities have a mana cost.
The main mechanics of Fireflies Rebound is to use the different units to create a mirrors combination that generate the maximum ricochets before hitting its target.
Rules
- The player, in a symmetrical fight, must confront his 3 units to the 3 I.A. in front.
- When the game starts, the player starts, then alternates with the A.I.
- During the first round, the player chooses the location of his different units in the given space.
- All units spawn with 0 mana (and a max mana limit of 5) and 5 HP.
- During the player turn, the player can move and attack with each of his units in any order he wants. He can also pass his turn.
- Shots and moves consume no resources but can only be used once per turn for each unit.
- Units cannot pass through mirrors and other units, whether allied or opposing (except in special cases).
- Shots gain +1 damage with each ricochet on a mirror knowing that originally it does 0 damage. And each ricochet generates +1 mana (for the unit that fired).
- When a shot hits the mirror, after making the ricochet, the shot changes mirror's direction.
- They are friendly fire whether on the side of the player or the I.A.
- Victory is obtained after killing all opposing units (to kill a unit it must be 0 HP).
- And if all your units are killed, you’ve lost.
